Phoneroma REEL Graff Stash.

February 04, 2021 by Joshua Massop in drafting, writing, graffiti, artist, creators, creatives, supplies, school, fashion

Phoneroma REEL Graff Stash is a storage accessory that I created some years back that holds a rich story, as simple the design I am certain that I am not the only one to do this but here is the story behind why they are so significant:

When I first began my journey into fashion I used to visit a sewing alteration shop in hopes of finding some small work to keep me active, as well as get some good instruction on how I should create what I wanted to design. I would visit this small sewing shop three times out of the week, helping out cutting lays, cleaning up loose strings behind sewing machine tables, and just catching some beta from the normal employees in hopes of perfecting my craft inside the industry.

Utilizing dead end stock that was no longer used by the staff, I was instructed to sit down and sew marked lines that were one inch diameter as straight as I possibly could for practice, which would in turn allow me to identify good quality developing my craftsmanship. From here my determination set in, my lines were then straight enough I can do this anywhere at anytime for myself or anyone else, that being I end up in a fashion house one day displaying my talents or making my own alterations. This was the guiding light to further propel myself into the fashion world by understanding how to set up a sewing machine from the ground up and since then, here we are.

During the start of this “plandemic” thing that left everyones life in shambles, I have been constructing these Graff Stashes since to stay busy while at home to weather the storm that has been bestowed upon us. Made from 100% duck canvas the Phoneroma Graff Stash can hold up to 18 pens or markers along with any other small instruments or hand tools up to 1in. in diameter, other styles besides these shown are also available that have been built to accommodate much broader tips or barrels that exceed an inch diameter.

The Graff Stash secures its payload tightly with a 56in. ribbon that allows it to double as a teachers apron by placing ribbon behind a folded over cover flap seating the Graff Stash firmly around waist and tying (as shown below), making tools and instruments easily accessible while standing up or moving around during projects or class sessions.

These Graff Stashes are one less thing to carry allowing you to stowe it in your back pocket saying goodbye to that nagging pencil box, they are great for space savers for multiple sets of writing instruments moreover you can accessorize with the Phoneroma REEL Tee (not shown) made from 100% cotton available upon request.

The Phoneroma Graff Stashes are made to order and completely customizable with different color ribbons, transfers, and canvas, either inside or out, with or without the Phoneroma REEL Logo emblazoned on front. As different materials, colors, textures along with patterns are becoming available and being rolled into production we ask that you stay patient with us, and pay close attention to the blog or Instagram to stay up to date.

Art Basel 2018

January 20, 2019 by Joshua Massop in art, painting, murals, colorful, miami, wynwood

If it was hard to find me the weekend of Friday, Dec. 07th to Sunday, Dec.09th I took a slight day-cation and headed to Art Basel 2018 located in Miami, Florida in the Wynwood section, along with South Beach also hosting some of the worlds best artists and designers. Rumor has it that it was a little weak in the past couple of years focusing on Music and Dance, yet this year they brought it back to The Graffiti, The Paintings, as well as the Murals giving total control back to the Artists, Creators, furthermore Designers.

I stayed a couple of days in the Wynwood contrella not far from Little Haiti and enjoyed the scenery, along with captivating artwork, beautiful faces, not to mention the amazing 80 degree weather which was reminiscent of Summer in NY in 95’. Why Summer of 95’? Not 100 percent sure but it definitely brought back a nostalgic childhood feel back to mind, somewhat careless, a feeling of paradise maybe, but it was great to get away and out of the box.

I bumped into a couple of heads from New York and met a bunch of other people from all over, one crew to definitely mention is the Cake team, using contemporary murals, sculpture, avant-garde sound design, CAKE created a multi-sensational experience in the heart of Wynwood. The Crown Collection was also showcased, a private jewelry lounge within the space that showcased intricate, one-of-a-kind works with rare gems and meticulously-engraved luxury timepieces. CAKE clearly created a truly immersive, interdisciplinary encounter for their guests to experience during the Basel 2018 weekend.

I stopped by a couple more places getting Lost in the Sauce having it being my first trip to Miami and the State of Florida EVER! My journey took me from about Miami Ave. and NW29th wrapped back around to 2nd and 22nd. by Wynwood Walls where I was able to check out Sue Tsai’s Exhibit, “Summary of my heART. It was a dope experience stopping by supporting the young New York native not to mention sticking around to recreate one of my favorite pieces by the artist. I always find a way to miss her exhibit when in the City although usually informed something ALWAYS comes up within that period.

I didn’t get a chance to migrate over to South Beach where all of the A-Listers such as KAWS were partying but I was hugely content being in the Wynwood district where the majority of the culture was based including the up and coming artists were . It felt much more original, and authentic, moreover genuine in these part on the mainland rather than on the beach.

I want to extend a HUGE SHOUT and Thank You, to The Sate of Florida, The City of Miami, not mention Dade County which hosted the event, including a Big Shoutout to the Big Homie Zabo for real on deck feeding the hood with the $7 Fish and Chips, also the little homies on the motor bikes tearing it up (tag me in your Gram wit dem Meek FREED Tees). Definitely a warm welcome and made me feel right at home. Hope to splash out again next December and do it all over again. Shout DECK, TEXER, and BLAZE. Peace King!

There are plenty more people to shout along with videos I planned to share yet keep an eye out to my other channels for that material while I get the chance to edit, 2018 has tooken me for a wild ride and I know it is only going to get better transitioning into The 2019 New Year. Stay Tuned everybody and Thanks to everyone for their undaunted support for Yoshi Industries/Phoneroma Brand. Peace.
